Reinventing the Bike Shed Exhibition

Exhibition - 16th -25th July 2006

Cycling is booming in London. This is now Europe's fastest growing cycling city with trips by bike up 50% in the last five years. But there are challenges to be faced. As increasing numbers of Londoners take to two wheels new demands are emerging for more and better cycle parking. 1 in 5 people who get their bike stolen give up cycling.

Reinventing the Bike Shed has been launched to encourage inner city cycling and provide a catalyst for some critical thinking on the issue of urban bike parking.

This exhibition looks at design, crime and cycles in the city. Organised by Feilden Clegg Bradley Architects, Bikeoff, an initiative of the Design Against Crime Research Centre, University of the Arts London, Sogol Architects and Southwark Cyclists and designed by Ansel & Associate and Adam Thorpe.
