Loreen has a MSc in Crime Science (Distinction) from the Jill Dando Institute of Crime Science, UCL and a BSc. in Psychology (1st Class) from Goldsmiths College London. Her MSc dissertation focused on the effect of victim-offender relationship, victimization history, and observer-specific attitudes on the social perception of sexual assault; for her work Loreen was awarded the JDI’s Penny Willow Prize. Loreen completed a three month internship at the DAC in 2008/2009, during which she collaborated on research reports covering a variety of security and crime-related issues, including graffiti, mobile phone theft and theft of personal property from cafes and bars. The latter was published in the form of a COPS Guide. Loreen is currently working as a Research Assistant at Flinders University, Adelaide, Australia. She is planning to complete a PhD in the future.
