MA Communication Design students at Central Saint Martins were set a brief in 2014 which asked them to step out of their comfort zone and design communication strategies either (a) to convey a supporting opinion towards assisted suicide, drawing on facts that you have researched, or which are available from groups like Dignitas, with the aim of generating empathy from both sides of the debate or (b) aimed at preventing suicide in the young, drawing on facts you have researched, or which are available from groups like the Samaritans, linked to the issues that you think trigger suicide and consequently design a campaign against it.

The brief was open to interpretation but should be linked to their own research where possible, in particular, facts that the group think should be understood and upon which a campaign could be based.
