Open Invitation to NESTA Cycle Challenge Workshop

NESTA have issued a challenge to designers to come up with social innovations to tackle the issue of cycle theft and so increase cycle use (see flyer attached).

The winning proposal will receive £50,000 to implement or scale the idea.

As part of the UAL On The Road Safe Cycling Event at CSM Kings Cross on Thursday 27th September the Socially Responsive Design and Innovation Hub (SRvDI) and Bikeoff.org will be holding a fast and fun collaborative concepting workshop to catalyse new ideas to tackle cycle theft. Marco Zappalorto from NESTA will introduce the challenge and SRvDI staff will facilitate the workshop.

To join in, come along and bring with you an example of a product, service or other innovation that you think is a good response to cycle theft – one that you are happy to talk about.

Time: Thursday 27 September 2012 15:00-18:00
Location: CSM KX Room D117
